It is a varied and interesting role, acting as an integral part of the business and engaging across a number of key teams. This is a temporary contract to begin with, but could ultimately become permanent for the right individual.

Cost Accountant responsibilities:

  • Improve financial awareness across the target teams.
  • Understand the manufacturing process, explain the consequences to managers of their processes, and improve financial accuracy.
  • Work with the Financial accountants to improve processes to prepare ONT operations to move into large scale production.
  • Support the approval of inventory journals.
  • Reconcile inventory, explain, and recode variances.
  • Proactively work with supply chain and production teams, to report variances and improve processes.
  • Work with operations on improving regular stock takes and standard cost reviews to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in preparation of the statutory and external accounts.
  • Any other duties might be required within the remit and responsibilities of the post.

Ideally the Cost Accountant will have demonstrable experience in a similar role and have excellent stakeholder management skills. If you like the sound of this opportunity and are available for an immediate start, please apply today!
