It’s not often that senior broking roles of this calibre present themselves in the market.

This highly prestigious global insurance broker is seeking a talented Corporate Account Director to service a portfolio comprising circa 8 of its top clients. These accounts are based in the North, span a range of industry sectors, and typically generate individual fee incomes ranging between £50K - £250K.

Here, you’ll enjoy being the lead on some fascinating, non-conventional insurance programmes, some of which have multi-national exposures. Working in conjunction with specialist teams across the business, you will play an integral role in delivering a world-class insurance offering to your corporate clientele. Managing a small number of large accounts, you will have the opportunity to really 'get under the skin’ of your portfolio, and enjoy some very meaningful relationships as a result.

In addition to servicing your clients, you will hold line management responsibility for a small team of 5. However, it is not essential that you have previous leadership experience; we are keen to hear from aspiring leaders who are ready to take their first step into management.

You’ll be reporting into the Leeds city centre office, where you’ll need to be present circa 2/ 3 days a week, in order to collaborate with your team. The rest of the week, you’ll either be working from home, or out seeing clients. Due to this hybrid-working arrangement, we are open to candidates from across Yorkshire or Lancashire.

"We excel at training and development", says the Regional Director, who himself has had a number of impressive promotions within the business over the last few years. "We want to bring on people who are genuinely excited about dealing with some of the most high-profile insurance accounts, and we will dedicate a huge amount of resource to ensure that they make a great success of their role".

It's essential that you have previous experience as a Commercial / Corporate Account Executive, and that you have been involved with sizeable Property and Casualty risks. However, our client appreciates that because they deal with some of the largest accounts in the market, it is likely that you may not have previously dealt with insurance risks quite of this size. However, because of the company’s unrivalled training programme, they have had huge success with training candidates from a commercial insurance background, who have demonstrated a real thirst for learning, and a genuine desire to move into the major corporate arena.

As evidenced by many current members of staff who have experienced the superb progression opportunities in this business, the 'sky really is the limit’ in terms of your career-development. Being such a large organisation, there are opportunities to move into many different areas, both locally and across the globe. For example, staff have progressed from this role into all sorts of areas such as Branch / Regional Director position, Placement, Risk Management, Project Management - the list is endless!

You’ll be rewarded with an attractive starting salary, together with a highly impressive flexible benefits package and performance-related bonus. This company is also well-renowned for looking after the wellbeing of its staff, which is reflected it its very low staff turnover and impressive employee satisfaction survey scores.
