We have teamed up with a prestigious family-owned nursing home in Co Down to recruit a part time cook for their site in Saintfield. As a Cook you will:

• Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to pre-set menus, ensuring they are nutritious, appetising, and meet dietary needs.

• Manage simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to relevant senior staff to maintain adequate supplies.

• Keep the kitchen clean, including washing up crockery and utensils. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure all food is used within prescribed periods.

• Be aware of residents’ dietary needs and respond to their comments and requests regarding the menu.

• Assist in covering leave for other Kitchen Assistant staff.

To be a Cook you need:

• Good communication skills to interact with residents.

• Ability to work both in a team and independently.

• Previous experience in a Healthcare catering role and Food Hygiene Level 2 & 3 certification.

Work Hours: 8:45am to 5:15pm (2 day per week, 3 days 4th week of month)
