Our client in Kendal is looking for a temporary School Cook to join their team until the end of March. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for short-term work and who has a passion for cooking nutritious meals for school children.

Role: Temporary School Cook

Duration: Until the end of March

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2 pm

Location: Kendal

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook school meals following provided recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure meals are cooked and served on time, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to manage inventory and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Provide support in adhering to relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • DBS clearance is required. If you do not have a DBS, we can arrange one at no cost to you.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A passion for cooking and providing nutritious meals for children.

Hourly Rate: £13 per hour
