We are currently seeking a Cook (HBC3)(Hospitality and Catering) to join our team in Widnes. As a cook, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and well balanced food to service users.

Requirements Cook (HBC3):

  • Child/Adult DBS on Update Service.
  • UK Passport/Right to Work (skilled worker VISA's need not apply)
  • Basic Food Hygiene NVQ level 2
  • 1 year in-UK Experience as a Cook/Chef

Responsibilities (Hospitality and Catering) :

  • Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals and drinks meeting residents' cultural and dietary requirements.
  • Collaborate with residents to develop menus based on preferences.
  • Train kitchen staff on production methods, service, and care home kitchen standards.
  • Team up with kitchen staff to accomplish daily tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records including stock control, orders, invoices, cash reconciliation, and timesheets.
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor food costs and productivity to meet targets.
  • Procure supplies according to planned menus and manage stock.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, staff, and families.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned, appropriate to the job grade.
