Randstad C&P are currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier One construction firm in Slough! The company are currently seeking a Contracts Manager to assist in the delivery of a £150m scheme involving residential and commercial elements. The role is looking for a senior individual who has managed similar size projects for a Tier One contractor previously.

The contractor are seeking a talented, knowledgeable Contracts Manager to help assist in the delivery of the major project, which has just entered Phase 2. The contractor have a growing order book moving into 2025 an beyond, and turnover more than £1bn nationally. Selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality and maintaining client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the build on site, including the commercial and residential new build elements in addition to block extensions.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve excellence in performance, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to effectively manage project timelines and costs.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project delivery, implementing appropriate solutions to mitigate them.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in construction contracts management
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field (e.g., HND, HNC, degree).
  • Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, and other relevant construction industry certifications.
