Long-term opportunity for a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks to support a well-known and well-respected market leader in high-tech electronics at their offices in Northamptonshire.

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.

Our customer has a long-standing presence in high-performance electronics, with products designed and developed in the UK and sold around the world. They serve a range of industries including highly regulated, industrial and commercial. As a result of major project wins combined with unprecedented demand, they are seeking a range of professional contractors.

Working in an experienced design team, you will provide support to a project enabling its transition into full production. The role offers flexibility to work on a hybrid basis.

Key Skills required - Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks, Northamptonshire:

- Strong experience of using Solidworks for 3D design

- Experience of CFD/thermal analysis principles

- Experience of working in highly regulated industries such as aerospace/defence/military

- A background of designing ruggedized enclosures for electronics, using a variety of materials such as metals, plastics etc.

- Familiarity with Vita standards is of particular interest, however not essential to be considered.

This role will require a minimum of BPSS security clearance.
