Our client is a leading global supplier of ingredients and premix manufacturing solutions for the food, beverage and nutrition industries. Based in Kent, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manufacturing Supervisor to work 4 on/4 off night shift. The main responsibilities will be:

  • Successful completion and adherence of the production and co-man Manufacturing line
  • Completion of weekly and daily shift plans
  • Maintaining compliance against internal and customer audit requirements
  • Batch document monitoring throughout each Co-Man Line stage to ensure correct completion
  • Completion of all required reports and record keeping of all Co-Man admin
  • Involvement in the upcoming program along with planning to ensure KPI’s and deadlines are met in the most efficient way possible. Daily KPI measuring and recording
  • Attendance at meetings when required
  • Participation in projects when required
  • Opening and locking of the factory when needed
  • Ensure Company SOP’s and GMP are followed by Co-Man Manufacturing Operatives
  • Control of the day to day Co-Man Manufacturing activities and staff and provide necessary support to Operatives to enable them to perform Co-Man duties.
  • Provide adequate training to enable Co-Man operatives to complete tasks in accordance with the company procedures and maintain Co-Man Manufacturing training records to a high standard
  • Day to day control and support of Team Leader activity
  • Booking of agency staff and ensuring that cover levels are sufficient and in line with approved requirements
  • Daily reporting to Production Manager
  • Working with the planning department to ensure targets are met
  • Weekly Meetings with team to provide updates and get feedback
  • Lead process improvements within factory
  • Time sheets management for employees and agency staff
  • Liaise closely with other departments including Warehouse to ensure effective communication and planning
  • Record any deviations electronically
  • Carry out a variety of HR activity such as absence management, training, development, reviews, recruitment and disciplinary
  • Approval of production holidays and management of absence
  • Oversee absence and holiday records in e-days
  • Ensure that all employees comply with company policies and lead by example at all times
  • Responsible for the Shift Structure
  • Drive and maintaining health & safety, hygiene and quality standards

The need for this person has come from Production demand for a new key account, therefore the candidate should expect it to be very fast moving and will need to hit the ground running. Will be responsible for establishing an entirely new team with the support of the operations manager, and will be the most senior member of staff on-site at night.
