Content Editor

Role Overview:

We are seeking a methodical and enthusiastic Content Editor to join our Retail Operations Team.

Your role as a Content Editor will be using your attention to detail to provide high quality copy solutions across all our categories. Want to become an integral player in a vibrant team of experts? We want to hear from you!

What we need you to do as a Content Editor:

• Write factual and creative copy to specific lengths/word counts for tasks across categories (Soccer, Off-Pitch, Rugby, Running, Fit, Basketball, Tennis, Cricket and Golf).
• Possess meticulous attention to detail and have an in-depth working knowledge of grammar, punctuation, syntax, tone etc.
• Continually work to improve knowledge and understanding of products, brands, departmental workings, website frameworks etc.
• Apply Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to web copy.
• Communicate with brand contacts, tech reps and others for the acquisition of product information.
• Take responsibility for own development using your natural passion for sport.

Your skills as a Content Editor:

• Exceptional command of English language, grammar and punctuation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computing competence (use of MS Office, internet, email etc)
• Previous employment in a copywriting position or similar role.
• Experience of proofing text in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• 2 A-levels or equivalent qualifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Well organised and pro-active approach to work.
• Ability to change writing style and tone.
