Rate of Pay: Competitive salary starting from £180,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours of Work: 48 hrs a week, permanent role

Magna House Hospital is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Consultant Psychiatrist on a permanent and full time basis. This Acute Inpatient Mental Health Service has recently recruited a new team following restructuring and we are delighted to announce our recent CQC 'Good’ rating. About the Role:

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in providing person-centred care to our inpatients. Working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary teams, you will typically manage a caseload of 14-16 patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive and effective mental health support. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to autonomously lead teaching sessions for junior doctors and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide high-quality clinical care for inpatients.

· Manage a caseload of 14-16 patients.

· Work autonomously and contribute to teaching sessions.

· Collaborate with a well-established multi-disciplinary team which includes OT, psychologist, visiting GP, physical health practitioner and RMNs.

· Participate in an on-call rota.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

· Full GMC registration

· Psychiatry experience within multi-disciplinary teams

· Doctor experience in a similar environment (desirable)

· MRCPsych or equivalent

· Section 12(2) approval

· Approved clinical status.

About the Service:

Magna House Hospital's acute inpatient Mental Health service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals in crisis who require emergency admission. Service users may be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act. Our 29-bed inpatient unit in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, focuses on assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment, with an emphasis on planning for discharge in a timely fashion.
