As a Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including gastroscopies, colonoscopies, and other specialized interventions.
• Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Cover a few clinics during the week as required, ensuring continuity of care for patients.

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration and eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register for Gastroenterology.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in gastroenterology, including proficiency in endoscopic procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
