Job title: Consultant Ecologist

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000

Location: Northumberland

We are looking for a Consultant Ecologist to join a specialist Ecological Consultancy in Northumberland. They have been around for more than two decades and work with a broad client base on a national basis.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will have a mix of field and desk-based work. You will be performing different surveys including phase 1, BNG assessments, PEA and ECiAs. You will be given the responsibility of managing your own projects and leading surveys as needed.

To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist role, you will need:

  • Hold bat and/ or newt licences, or be working towards them
  • Good botanical skills
  • GIS (ideally QGIS) experience and excellent IT skills
  • CIEEM Associate or Full Membership, or sufficiently experienced to acquire membership
  • Excellent client liaison and project management skills
  • Be a strong team player
  • Ambition and drive
  • Tree climbing experience or interest an advantage but not essential
  • Hold a full driving licence
