The Construction Project Manager Role
The successful Construction Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of retail projects from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities include:
- Efficiently carrying out assigned duties in line with processes and procedures.
- Complying with procurement, commercial, and contractual strategies.
- Taking personal accountability for Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality Standards.
- Management and preparation of key stage reports, from feasibility to post-handover.
- Ensuring delivery of value for money in all circumstances.
- Preparation and management of various programmes and meetings.
- Running bidding processes and managing queries from tendering contractors.
- Managing multiple projects on 'LIVE' operational sites and assisting with contract documents.
The Construction Project Manager
The ideal Construction Project Manager will demonstrate a positive and proactive approach, delivering customer service excellence and achieving good commercial results. Essential qualifications and experience include:
- A Construction Project Management degree or similar construction-related qualification.
- Extensive technical delivery experience, ideally within the retail sector.
- Consultancy experience and good construction and M&E knowledge.
- Familiarity with the design process and RIBA stages.
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, disciplined, and commercially astute.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- A track record of managing projects effectively, prioritizing workloads, and delivering to deadlines.
