Our Client, Urenco; trusted, long-term supplier to the nuclear industry, specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services, are looking for a Configuration Control Manager on a contract basis (inside IR35), to be based in Capenhurst near Chester.

This Information & Records Management Specialist role will be accountable for the provision and management of a quality and responsive site configuration control function within the nuclear industry, covering document control, business records management (i.e. Archive) and providing the forward development of the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) for records and document management. The role will also be responsible for creating and maintaining an information asset register; managing site retention schedules and legacy records in accordance with our site license conditions and relevant standards; and defining and assuring there are robust fit-for-purpose management arrangements for the configuration control function.

Rate: £40-50 Umbrella (Inside IR35)

Accountable for the UUK Physical Archive, Electronic Document and Records Management System and the Functional File Plan, to ensure that records are retained in the appropriate conditions and in accordance with the site retention schedule, and remain readily accessible in support of Enrichment Operations.
More specifically:
• Archiving, Indexing and Retrieval of Physical Records.
• Manage Contractor/Hired Staff performance against agreed Key Perfor-ance Indicators
• Facilitate and lead problem solving
• Develop people through continuous improvement and training
• Provide support to other departments
The Role will have a close working relationship with all departments across the UUK site to ensure that Business Records service provided meets the needs of the business

Other Responsibilities
• Forward development of the EDRMS for records and document management, on both the in-confidence and restricted site networks
• Ensuring that all records are complete and accessible
• Define and assure quality standards for drawings and records
• Resource and performance manage internal Draughtsmen and agency personnel as required
• Ensure that core skills levels, training needs and software/tools are maintained and developed across the team to meet nuclear industry standards and professional norms

Experience Required
• Significant experience of draughting across all engineering disciplines within the manufacturing, petrochemical or process industries. Practical experience of design and project office practices, including document management systems
• Experience within nuclear industry preferred
