The Role

Gonville & Caius College is seeking an excellent individual to join its Housekeeping team as Conference House Porter. The post deals with the preparation of conference rooms, cleaning public areas, moving furniture, and changing lightbulbs. To ensure function rooms and spaces are presented to specification. To provide an effective and efficient cleaning service and to support the College’s conferencing, events. The post holder needs to have good customer service and communication skills, be well organised and work in a methodical, timely fashion to meet deadlines.

This is a part-time permanent role of 20 hours per week with a variable weekly rota including early mornings/late evenings/weekends.

The salary for the post is £13,085 per annum.

The College

Gonville & Caius College is one of the largest Colleges in the University of Cambridge. It is an educational charity and its mission is to provide a place of education, religion, learning and research, in conjunction with the University that is recognised internationally as being of the highest standard.
