KS3/4 Computer Science Teacher

Prospero Teaching are looking for a creative computing teacher to for a secondary school in Wigan. This role is a full-time position, starting September 2024. You will also be expected to teach key stage 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be able to provide exceptional support to students and demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistant/management.

They are are an 11 - 16 mixed comprehensive secondary school of around 1185 students and 186 staff situated to the west of Wigan. They are a community of students, staff, parents and governors with a common goal. They strive for the highest standards in everything we do.

You must have experience working in a similar role within secondary schools to be considered.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Wigan
  • Position - Computer Studies Teacher
  • Start date - September 2024
  • Duration - end of academic year
  • Contract type - Full Time
  • Minimum rate of pay - £120 per day
  • Hours - 8:15AM - 4:00PM Monday to Friday

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Previous experience working in a school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, training can be provided)
  • Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
