An "outstanding" school based in Wembley is seeking to recruit a dedicated Teacher of Computer Science on a full time basis, starting in September 2024 (can potentially start sooner for the right applicant).

Job Responsibilities

  • To teach Computer Science within the school;
  • To maintain a full record of attendance, effort and attainment of all students as well as records of lessons taught and homework set;
  • To ensure good supervision and discipline, through efficient planning and delivery;
  • To work with parents in partnership to enhance the learning experience;
  • To recognise and celebrate achievement in Computer Science and to promote an awareness of the importance of Computer Science in the community;
  • To initiate and maintain links with teachers and support staff where appropriate;
  • To work as one of a team in curriculum development initiatives within Computer Science

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

· QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent (to be offered supply teaching work)
· Previous experience working in a UK school would be ideal
· Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

· Be willing to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all required vetting checks
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child related references
