Do you have retail banking compliance experience and excellent communication skills?

Our client, a leading ethical bank, are looking for a Compliance Manager to join their Bristol head office.

Your responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in supporting the first line to manage compliance risks, challenging, and influencing stakeholders in a collaborative manner
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to support projects and address individual topic-driven queries
  • Provide 2nd line oversight and assurance over 1st line financial crime and compliance related activity
  • Take a proactive and pragmatic delivery of Financial Crime and Compliance advice and guidance
  • Work with business and functional areas to agree clear and timely action plans, to mitigate financial crime and compliance risk exposure
  • Perform analyses of relevant legislative and regulatory change to provide clear, timely guidance to the business

Your skills:

  • Deep understanding of frameworks and operational risk controls
  • Proven track record in overseeing financial crime and compliance
  • Demonstrate strategic insight into developing compliance controls, including those tailored for digital channels
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review, understand and disseminate technical regulatory information
  • The ability to manage workload, meet targets and adhere to deadlines in dynamic environment
  • Ability to draft reports, for different audiences, plus the continuous development of policies as required
  • Genuine interest in social and environmental responsibility is valued
  • Compliance qualification would be advantageous
