About you:

As the Compliance and Due Diligence Officer, you will support our client’s 2nd line of defence activities to help the business grow safely and responsibly. It’s a varied role. You’ll apply your skills to compliance monitoring, policy & advice, debt purchase and supplier due diligence. They’re after someone who can spot when something’s not right, explain why and help the business find solutions. You’ll manage your own workload and be part of a fantastic and supportive team.  Compliance experience is preferred but not essential. The role:

As the Compliance and Due Diligence Officer you will:

  • Complete compliance monitoring reviews, including terms of reference, testing, establishing materiality of findings and supporting stakeholders to understand the importance
  • Complete robust due diligence on debt purchases, including reviews of regulatory and customer documentation, understand and articulate where accounts are outside of our client’s policy or risk appetite
  • Produce quality written reports that communicate findings and risks in a clear and concise manner
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to maintain the credibility of the company’s 2nd line of defence
  • Assist the Head of Compliance and Due Diligence to create content for relevant committees
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the business functions through effective communication. Develop and sustain a sound understanding of key legislation and regulation pertinent to the business (FCA, ICO, OFCOM etc.) and keep abreast of industry changes
  • Champion a culture of compliance and support the first line of defence to understand and mitigate its risks
