Company Accountant

  • Location: Norwich
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Reed Accountancy and Finance Norwich are proud to be working exclusively with a Norwich based company to recruit for a Company Accountant to join this growing business to build and manage the finance function.

As the successful candidate will be working closely with the managing director, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance candidate with strong management accounting and reporting skills to join an exciting and growing business and play a fundamental part in its development.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Complete month-end processes and produce monthly Management Accounts.
  • Prepare budgets and report on variances.
  • Weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations and liaise with the bank.
  • Manage staff and contractor payroll, including monthly and weekly pension submissions.
  • Submit quarterly Group VAT data to accountants, review, and process payments.
  • Raise sales invoices and manage credit control.
  • Assist in staff recruitment, management, and development as the company grows.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process and pay supplier invoices.
  • Monitor performance against financial targets and recommend actions.
  • Continuously improve finance department processes to meet changing business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part or fully qualified accountant.
  • Experience in management accounting.
  • Payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in cloud accounting software.
