Job Title: Community Centre Caretaker

Location: East London

Position Type: Part Time 16 hours week including some evenings and weekends

Salary: £13 per hour

Would you like to be part of a vibrant community centre dedicated to fostering social interaction, personal growth, and community engagement. The centre serves as a hub for religious services, a variety of activities, social events and gatherings, catering to people of all ages.

We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join a friendly and supportive team and play a crucial role in the maintenance and upkeep of the community centre. The Caretaker will be responsible for security of the premises, ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the facilities, as well as providing support during events and activities hosted at the centre.

Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role, but more importantly, you need the following skills and experience:

  • General maintenance and cleaning
  • Able to multitask and work on your own initiative
  • Be sensitive to the needs of a diverse membership
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience of Health and Safety (further training provided)
  • Experience of Security (further training provided)
