We’re working with a really high profile national construction contractor as they look to recruit a Communications Executive for their centrally Birmingham based office. A broad role, we’re looking for someone with a couple of years experience with internal and external communications who doesn’t mind donning their hard hat and high viz jacket to get out on site!

The role:

This role will focus on communicating the fabulous work that our client is working on within the Midlands area, and whilst you’ll be part of a team you’ll be the sole Communications person onsite in Birmingham. You’ll be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of all comms, which will involve managing the social media platforms and website content as well as promoting the company mission through internal comms to align employee behaviours and drive goal attainment.

You’ll support the implementation of community engagement strategy to promote industry news as well as commercial and people achievements news via the Intranet, company newsletter and other online forums. You’ll be responsible for writing, editing and proof-reading copy for all corporate comms platforms, as well as supporting the production and delivery of all-staff videos and presentations. You’ll promote public relations and corporate events as well as internal charity events, and obviously you’ll monitor and evaluate all stakeholder comms.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone with at least a couple of years’ communications experience. You must have experience of internal and external communications, social media and content creation (ideally using either Adobe Creative suite or Canva), and any experience of working within the construction industry would be a real advantage, although our client is really open to speaking to candidates with any sector experience.

You’ll be confident and have the ability to communicate with employees and stakeholders of all levels.

This is an office-based role, so you must be happy to travel into the central Birmingham office on a daily basis, as well as travelling around the Midlands to visit the fabulous sites - a full driving licence is therefore essential.

What’s on Offer?

Salary is £30-35,000 depending on experience, there’s also a performance related bonus scheme, a full training and development scheme to develop your experience further as well as the opportunity to purchase additional holiday days should you wish. The Birmingham office is a lively, vibrant place to be, and this is an opportunity not to be missed!
