Commissioning Manager – Family Hubs Programme

Duration: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £43,629 - £52,252 (Grade 5)
Start: 2nd April 2024

South West Based

Our client based in the South West is looking for an experienced Commissioner or Project Manager with extensive Family Hubs experience to join their team on a fixed basis for the next 12 months.

Working Pattern: If you are able to commit to being onsite 1 -2 days a week, this would be a huge advantage to your application as this is the clients preference. However, due to our client’s location, they have advised they will consider applicants who are FULLY REMOTE if someone has the right experience.

Please note, as they are looking for someone to start as soon as 2nd April 2024, it is essential that you have a short notice period with some flexibility to ensure you can start on this date.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to lead monthly meetings, reporting to the DFE
  • Ensuring you have full and clear understanding of all policies and guidelines relating to the organisation and the Family Hubs Programme
  • Run regular steering groups for the department
  • This role will oversee the co-ordination and quality of the commissioning activity of work undertaken by the Commissioning Officers and Assistant Commissioning Officers ensuring that they contribute to the overall activity of the sub–set of services they manage
  • This role will support the development and implementation of the commissioning strategy and market development and sustainability planning for the managed sub-set
  • Proactively follow national and local policies and ensure that the commissioning approaches applied reflect these
  • The commissioning priorities will be underpinned with the adoption of a disciplined project and program management approach led by the role holder
  • The role holder will be able to lead on engagement with effective co-production styles and partnership working across all elements of the commissioning cycle
  • Contributing to commissioning activity that will lead to positive CQC and OFSTED ratings as part of any assurance activity

Requirements:

  • To be able to start on or around the 2nd April 2024
  • Have Family Hubs experience in previous roles
  • Have expert knowledge in a relevant professional area and proven track record of using professional expertise to develop and deliver strategic objectives and expected outcomes
  • Strong ability to lead and promote innovation, new ways of working and collaboration across a wide range of stakeholders, including other directorates, Health, providers and communities

N.B The client has advised, that pending on the applicants they receive they would be happy to consider someone who has been working at a Commissioning Officer level for this role and is now looking for a step up in their career. They would need to be able to commit to hybrid working due to the training required.
