Our client is an established and highly respected automotive supplier based in Banbury, that plays a key part in the UK automotive industry supply chain. Due to continued growth and expansion, they now require an additional Paint Sprayer to join their growing warehouse team.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the correct parts are painted to customer orders in line with Standard Operating Procedures and Quality specifications. Candidates must have previous paint spraying experience ideally from the automotive sector. A skills test will be required to be completed on-site to assess suitability for the role.
 
Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure your equipment is fit for purpose and operational at the start of your shift. You should complete a gun check sheet and report any issues to your coordinator or Line Manager.
  • You are responsible for conducting process checks including fluid flow rates and air pressure settings. Complete any necessary paperwork and report any issues to your coordinator or Line Manager.
  • Read and understand all Standard Operating Procedures and work to these without exception, unless advised by management.
  • Will include checking incoming parts, loading onto painting fixtures correctly and prepping virgin and primed parts. Where required, you should clean, inspect, polish, pack and label parts accurately. If trained to do so, mix paint according to supplier specifications and for example apply primer, base coat, top-coat, and mono-coat to specific customer specifications.
  • Ensure you check for any colour change data on the jig before paint. Ensure the required daily workload is completed on time and to the customer and company standard.
  • Ensure you handle all components with care and attention and report any damage to your line manager immediately.
  • Ensure that all parts are stored correctly and safely on the relevant storage racking.
  • Work to ensure minimal downtime and to achieve quality standards as defined.
  • Drive and support the requirements to uphold accreditations ISO 14001, 9001, 45001, IATF16949, and all regulatory requirements such as permit requirements that are relevant to site standards and H&S.
Key Skills/Experience
  • Candidates must have previous commercial paint spraying experience.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous post-painting inspection experience is desirable.
  • Previous experience working within the automotive industry is desirable but not essential.
