Commercial Seller & Buyer

Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a business in Worthing on the recruitment of a Buyer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

Our client is a market leader within their field and pride themselves on the service they provide their clients. Owned by a wider European company, their remit spans across the whole of Europe, UK & Ireland. Our client are on an exciting growth and expansion journey, and delighted to be adding to the team with this hire.

This role of Buyer is a great opportunity for somebody that is looking for a role they can grow and progress in. The role is essentially what you make of it and doesn't necessarily need someone with previous buying experience. The ideal candidate will have confidence with numbers, the ability to show initiative, flexibility and work well in a fast-moving business environment.

This role is fully office based near to Worthing town centre, with working hours of 9am - 5pm.

Responsibilities of the Buyer will include but not be limited to:

• Working as part of a small team, handling all day-to-day activities within the buying/selling department.
• Managing relationship with customers and suppliers and attending business events to act as a representative of the organisation.
• Supporting the business to develop their offering in new geographical markets and expand on their product range.

Your Profile:

• A people person with exceptional communication skills, who is comfortable building relationships both internally and externally.
• Confidence working with numbers and/or a Science/Finance degree would be an advantage.
• A proactive individual, who is happy to learn quickly and show initiative in growing this role out.
• Prior experience in buying/selling is beneficial, but not essential.
• Ideally, you would have also worked in a professional, office environment.

In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £30-35k plus commission, 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), NEST pension scheme and a free parking space.
