Commercial Manager

My client is seeking a results-driven Commercial Manager to drive growth in the shipping industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong logistics/shipping background, capable of growing market share and driving business growth.

Description

• Develop and implement robust commercial strategies to drive business growth.
• Identify new market opportunities and drive market penetration.
• Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic business deals.
• Attend relevant trade shows that can require international travel
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
• Monitor performance of commercial activities, reporting directly to senior management.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity.
• Lead and manage the sales team to achieve agreed targets.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, legal guidelines and in-house procedures.

Profile

A successful Commercial Manager should have:

• Proven experience in a commercial role within the Shipping/Logistics industry.
• Outstanding sales skills with a knack for negotiation and networking.
• A strategic mindset, with the ability to make sound business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The ability to work in their Southampton office a couple of times a week
