We are recruiting for a national firm of specialist finance brokers, working with an established business brand, supporting clients to purchase, expand or refinance their business(es) by arranging commercial mortgages & business funding.

This company is well established, well regarded in the sector, has premium brand value and operates in a Quality rather than Quantity space. This role is a relationship based, consultative commercial finance role, working within a team of people who are supportive and focused to fulfill the business and commercial development plan. Knowledge of working with 'going concerns' is essential for this role. The business sector that this role specialises in is Medical SMEs such as Pharmacies, Medical Centres, Dental clinics etc. Experience of funding loans, commercial mortgages or investment in these sectors is preferred.

This position is a regional position, mainly covering the Birmingham and Midlands area , and has an office base in Birmingham - which the successful candidate would be based out of at least 1-2 days per week.

Key responsibilities include managing a current pipeline, and working to lead generate from the existing business connections associated with the business. (sister company)

It is essential that the candidates have previous commercial/business mortgage experience in order to be able to 'hit the ground running'

Main Duties of the Finance Broker/Commercial Mortgage Consultant role

· To maintain up to date market knowledge to enable the identification of appropriate solutions for customers

· To source and present facilities to clients

· To work to fulfil both the company, and individual, business development plan.

· To generate business from the company database of registered business purchasers and existing operators

· To create close working relationships with business colleagues to maximise referral opportunities and reciprocal business

· To maintain ongoing contact with prospective clients (both internal and external) to ensure the company is foremost in their minds for any business finance opportunity

· To prepare and submit quality applications for finance on behalf of clients

· To identify and develop relationships with active lending institutions

· To plan, manage and execute several ongoing assignments at any one time whilst ensuring that tight deadlines are met

· To operate in line with FCA Guidelines

· To maintain professional expertise through course attendance, reading of financial journals, and further training in line with but not limited to CF CPD requirements

· To understand what Treating Customers Fairly means in regard to company policy and embed this fully within the work.

What are we looking for?

· 2 years+ professional experience in sales within commerical property or finance

· Degree level education or equivalent

· Excellent English writing and presentation skills

· Computer literacy - MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Industry Awareness - regulations (TCF, money laundering, FCA etc.)
