Commercial Finance Analyst

Communicate are partnering with a business within the Retail industry. The company is looking for a Commercially minded Financial Analyst to join the finance team and support the Director of Commercial Finance.

An exciting opportunity for career growth, learning from senior members and participating in many projects for an initial 4 month contract. This role operates on a hybrid basis with 1-2 days in the Portsmouth office.

The role:

• Commercial analysis of key areas e.g. sales trends, margins, product level and distribution
• Preparation of timely and accurate Management reports on a daily, weekly and periodic basis
• Production and review of Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts for the Retail Division based on product/category and Margin
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Ad hoc analysis

Experience:

• Preferably part or fully qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA
• Similar role within the Retail sector
• Good Excel/Finance systems knowledge
• Ability to manipulate large datasets
