A new opportunity has come to market for a Claims Handler to work for a well-established insurance brokerage in the Southport area as part of their busy commercial team.

As Commercial Claims Handler, you will be responsible for working very closely with clients ensuring they receive a smooth and high-quality level of support throughout the claims process.

This is a brilliant opportunity which would suit an individual with claims experience either in the commercial field or with a good background in Motor Claims with the desire to progress into a commercial position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling client insurance claims from initial report to conclusion with professionalism and skill reaching a satisfactory settlement.
  • Dealing with a variety of commercial classes to include Fleet, Liability, Property Damage and Professional Risks claims.
  • Liaising with Insurers, Clients, Third Parties and professional bodies to reach a satisfactory conclusion for their clients.
  • Compile, record and process documents, dealing with customers, insurers and other business partners.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working in a claims capacity is essential.
  • A background in commercial claims is desirable, however applicants with a good few years working in Motor Claims will also be considered.
  • Strong work ethic with the right attitude and desire to learn, progress and develop.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to question and probe where necessary.
