Commercial Accountant

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Commercial Accountant to manage project accounts and cost centres. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring meticulous cost control and providing essential financial insights to the project team and conduct comprehensive accounting tasks such as reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and collaborate with departmental management to enhance financial performance in alignment with business and project objectives.

This position offers a blend of office and remote work fostering flexibility and work-life balance, work life balance but will need to be onsite at times for business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of project costs and ensure accurate booking of costs in relevant cost centers
• Conduct monthly analysis of costs against budget and forecasts, investigating variations and providing explanations
• Prepare comprehensive variance analysis reports
• Take ownership of billing responsibilities
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and accruals
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• To be fully qualified CIMA or ACCA, or part qualify for the right candidate
• Demonstrated experience in accounting and financial management
• Proficient in interpreting and analysing financial statements
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities and a talent for fostering strong relationships with multiple internal stakeholders
• Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
