Job title: Commercial Account Handler

Salary: £50,000 

Location: London

Purpose of role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Account Advisor to join our clients Renewals team. This is an exciting, fast paced wholesale role and a great opportunity for an experienced person to broaden their knowledge.

Key Duties:

  • Provide timely responses to intermediary inquiries and ensure accurate documentation of all communications with agents, insurers, or other relevant business contacts.
  • Communicate policy coverage, terms and conditions, and claims protocols to intermediaries, ensuring understanding of the implications of breaching conditions or requirements. Document these details in client records.
  • Address mid-term policy queries and issue endorsements as needed.
  • Provide instructions and relay any issues to insurance providers or the broking department.
  • Foster and enhance relationships by delivering exceptional service, technical knowledge, and expertise.
  • Ensure accuracy in data input into systems to maintain information integrity.
  • Adhere to regulations and procedures set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) by staying updated with changes in the regulatory framework.

About You:

  • Preferably, you have previous experience in the London Market, where you managed your own risks.
  • You showcase excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient at nurturing relationships and negotiating renewal terms with insurers and agents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database systems is a must, coupled with an appreciation for accurate documentation and system upkeep.
  • Previous exposure to MRCs would be advantageous.
