We require a wood machinist to for an interior fit out company.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues with machines and equipment

Skills:
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- Ability to assemble and disassemble machinery
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software
- Knowledge of tooling and cutting techniques
- Welding experience is a plus
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes
- Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations

Experience with the following within a wood/timber environment is essential:

CNC

Beam saw

Edge bangers

Spindle

Saw

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cradley Heath: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
