CNC Turner Setter / Programmer / Operator

My client, a reputable family-run engineering firm, is eagerly searching for talent like yours to join their team. Specialising in exotic stainless and super alloys, they cater to clients both nationally and globally, offering top-notch design and machining services ranging from prototypes to large-scale orders.

They require a seasoned CNC Programmer / Machinist who can handle operating a 1 Metre 4 Jaw Chuck for substantial proofing and finishing tasks on castings and forgings.

Location: Cromford / Matlock / Derbyshire

Salary: £17.50 - £22.00 p/h (£36,400 - £45,760 p/a) + £125 Travel Allowance p/m

Overtime: Optional overtime available

Hours: Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm

Key Skills / Experience Required:

• Proven track record as a CNC Programmer and Operator
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings
• Competent in loading programs for manufacturing purposes
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and prioritisation skills, with a focus on efficiency and quality
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
• Strong time management and organisational abilities
• Willingness to assist colleagues in the workshop
• Champions a culture of safety in the workplace
• Effective communication skills
• Ideally completed an apprenticeship as a centre lathe turner and miller, backed by years of experience
