Job Title: CNC Punch / Fold Operator

Reports To: Production Manager

Annual Salary: £32,000 to £33,000

Weekly Working Hours: 40

Annual Leave: 20 days increasing to 25, plus Bank Holidays, plus Birthday taken as leave if it falls on a working day

Part of a 6 year growth project, the role will be based within a new 6m, working with hi-tech systems designed to minimise any manual lifting, making processes flow seamless and enabling production of the highest quality products. Main Purpose of Role:

Configure and operate Punch press to cut, shape and form metal used in production of doors via performing cutting, blending and punching and forming actions, based upon CAD designs.

Key Tasks:

• Make correct set-ups for Punch machine operations.
• Operating a Panel Bender/loading programs/checking corrections.
• Maintain tooling.
• Select punch programs .
• Position and remove parts from the die.
• Perform dimensional inspections.
• Perform routine Operator maintenance.
• Achieve / exceed set production targets / KPIs.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Management.

Person Specification:

• At least 3 years of CNC Punch and/or fold operating experience.
• Attentive to detail.
• Reliable, flexible and trustworthy.
• Ability to use basic Maths to calculate requirements.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings from CAD.
• Ability to meticulously follow SOP's.
