CNC Offline Programmer

Metalis are currently working with a manufacturing company who are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Milling Programmer & Operator to join their team. Job Role: CNC Milling Offline Programmer, Setter, Operator

Salary: £18.50 - £19 per hour (DOE)

Job Duties:

• Utilise OneCNC software for offline programming of CNC milling machines, particularly focusing on up to 5-axis machining.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop machining strategies and programs.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform machine setup and tooling selection for efficient production runs.
• Operate CNC milling machines, including loading materials, setting tool offsets, and running production jobs.
• Conduct toolpath simulations and make necessary adjustments to optimize cycle times and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to minimise downtime and improve overall efficiency.
• Maintain documentation of programs and machining processes for future reference.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in offline programming using OneCNC software.
• Extensive experience in CNC milling programming, particularly with up to 5-axis machines.
• Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
• Familiarity with Siemens CNC controls (XYZ) preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
