CNC Machine Programmer and Operator

Location: Walsall Wood

Pay: £16ph (up to)

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 17:45pm (39hrs)

Kerry Collins is currently recruiting for an experience CNC machine programmer on behalf of our well-established client, who are based within the Walsall area.

**Must have experience in CNC Lathe with live tooling and 3 and 5 axis milling**

Kery Duties/Responsibilities.

  • Programme and operate all aspects of CNC Machining Centres with identified priorities as set out by project management.
  • Self-checking of all machined components to establish conformity to designed part.
  • Contribute to all tool making finishing operations.
  • General maintenance of machines to keep in good working order.
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all ISO9001 processes and controls in place.
  • Following health and safety procedures  
  • Any other reasonable ADHOC duties
  • Maintain cutting tools to the required level.
  • Preparation of raw materials for machining

Experience required.

  • 5+ years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Knowledge of: Heidenhain/Hurco/Haas Control preferred.
  • Use of CAD/CAM software
  • A good understanding of tool making processes.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good communicator
  • Good planning and organization skills
  • Use of Grinders, horizontal band saw, and similar skills required.
  • Quality check.
