Job Title: Skilled CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, Operator

Metalis are working with an established engineering company who work in sectors such as aerospace, F1 and Oil & Gas.They are seeking a skilled CNC Miller who is proficient in programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with offline programming, preferably using ONECNC software, and be comfortable working primarily on 1-off projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Utilize offline programming, with proficiency in ONECNC preferred.
  • Produce high-quality components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Check own work using various measuring equipment such as bore mics, micrometers, depth mics, etc.
  • Interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Maintain a focus on quality, ensuring work is completed to a high level of accuracy.
  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Operate predominantly using Haas machinery.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller, with proficiency in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Experience with offline programming, preferably using ONECNC software.
  • Strong ability to check own work using various measuring equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Haas machinery is advantageous.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety aspects in a manufacturing environment.

Benefits:

  • Salary negotiable up to £16.00 per hour.
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:15 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break from 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM), Friday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
  • Overtime available as and when required.
  • 26 days of holiday per year.
