Due to expansion and reinvestment of new CNC machinery and precision engineering technology, there are positions available for skilled and experienced CNC Millers looking to join a dynamic and progressive growing organisation.

Job Profile
CNC Machinist (Milling) required for a well-established company that is continually growing due to its ongoing expansion.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing business that manufactures highly precision machined components to various sectors including bespoke high-end projects.
You will experience working in a state-of-the-art machine shop using the latest CNC machining technology and equipment, producing high end parts and components for a wide-ranging client base, making this an interesting and varied role for an experienced engineer.

Duties:

  • Programming and Setting Horizontal CNC Milling machines & Machining Centres, working with Fanuc, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol controls.
  • When required, Editing CNC Programs for the effective machining of components.
  • Producing high end, precision machined components to exacting tolerances in small batches.
  • Inspecting own work, prior to handing over the finished article to the Quality department.
  • Entering data into Routing sheets using company-based system.
  • Ensure production is carried out correctly for product conformity.


Skills & Experience:

  • Creating programs on the machines, working from engineering drawings.
  • Competent with geometric tolerances and have a methodical method of working, including problem solving.
  • Experience of Horizontal Milling (Live Tooling would be an advantage).
  • Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc and/or Mazatrol controls.
  • Proven track record essential.
  • Problem solving.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.


Hours of Work:

  • 39hrs per week
  • 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 3:30pm Friday
  • Overtime paid after 39hrs per week.
