CNC Machinist

Working hours: 46 hours per week - Mixed Day/Night shifts (Set shifts may be considered)

Nights - 18.30-6.30 ( MON TO THURS )

Days - 7.00-17.30 (MON TO THURS) / 7.00-13.00 (FRI)

Salary: £33k with an extra 3k on top for shift allowance. 

Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire

We are looking for a CNC Machinist in the Chatteris area!!

Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience with Fanuc control systems (Advantageous)
• Experience in the use of overhead cranes (Advantageous)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Preferred)

Skills:

• Must be able to work from engineering drawings to geometric tolerances 
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervison and use own initiative 
• Exceptionally high personal standards with attention to detail 
• Dependable, accountable and elf- motivated 
• Work in a team environment and repsect others
• Manual handling competent

Duties:

• Interpret drawings and keep the attention to detail
• Set up components and machine to the correct dimensions/instructions as issued
• Health and safety awareness
• Quality checks-  Use dimensional record sheets
• Poentially assist in training other members of the team if required
• Conduct any training you may need
• Report any machine malfunctions
• Equipment checks
