CNC Machinist (Permanent Night Shift)

Our client is looking for experienced CNC Machinist for their Permanent Night shift. The role will be based in one of their Dudley manufacturing sites.

Our clients are part of a wider group that provide sub-contract machining and fabrication services to the engineering sector. The successful applicant will become part of their heavy engineering section.

The successful applicant will be an experienced CNC Machinist working night shifts within a small team and are required to carry out various CNC machining responsibilities, which include:
  • Setting Up Machinery.
  • Programming Using Fanuc and Hiedenhain.
  • Milling.
  • Boring.

The experience:
  • Working as part of a small team within a precision sub-contract machining company.
  • You will be required to work on our CNC Milling machines and Horizontal Borers and be confident in Setting, Programming, Milling and Boring.
  • You will also need to be flexible to support the business and carry out other duties as required to meet the demands and needs of the business.

Skills and Experience:
  • Medium/Large Milling and Boring Experience.
  • Heidenhain or Fanuc programming essential.
  • Proven ability to read and work from Engineering Drawings.
  • Ability to check own work using standard measuring equipment.
  • Worked within a Subcontract environment preferred.

Qualifications:
  • Apprenticeship in an engineering workshop, CNC Machine centre, or proven experience in the workplace within structured environment.

  • Salary up to £17.50 p/h including Shift allowance.
