Reed Engineering are representing a client who are seeking a CNC Miller Programmer to join their friendly team working in a busy machine shop

Key Responsibilities-

Responsible for machining products to drawing specifications and to customers quality requirements, and relevant documentation in the most efficient manner.

Person Specification-

The ability to read and understand written instruction is essential.

Working under your own initiative.

Ability to read, write and edit programmes at the machine.

Ability to read engineering drawings.

Ability to interpret and understand inspection reports.

The ability to work to tight tolerances.

Have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

CAD CAM knowledge an advantage

Programming an advantage

Skills and Qualifications:

Mechanical and technical skills

Ability to configure machine settings

Ability to read technical drawings

Ability to use key measuring tools

Attention to detail and methodical approach

Ability to work as part of a team

Analytical skills

Working under your own initiative.

CNC Setter Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 5 years CNC Milling experience

Apprenticeship or technical qualification such as an HNC/HND or City & Guilds

Set up fixtures, tooling, and programmes

Able to read and understand engineering drawings
