Position: CNC Machinist

Location: Birmingham   

Salary: £14PH - £16.50PH

Join our clients’ teams as a CNC Machinist/Setter and become an integral part of their manufacturing operations. They are seeking individuals experienced in setting up and operating CNC turning centers and CNC vertical milling machines for small batch runs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Mechanical setup and operation of CNC turning centers and CNC vertical milling machines to produce high-quality components.
  • Accurately measuring machined parts and adjusting machine offsets to ensure precision and adherence to dimensional tolerances.
  • Monitoring part quality throughout production runs to maintain consistent standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in both the machine area and surrounding workspace.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Proven experience in setting and adjusting CNC turning centers and CNC vertical milling machines.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding manufacturing drawings and dimensional tolerances.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
  • A meticulous approach to accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and CAM Works is highly advantageous.
