CNC Machinist / Miller / Setter Operator / Milling / Programmer

CNC Machinist / Miller / Setter Operator Programmer who has a passion for precision machining with proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator is required for a friendly and busy workshop in an engineering and manufacturing firm based in Botley, Hampshire.

SALARY: up to £19 per Hour (depending on experience) + Overtime (when available)

LOCATION: Botley, Hampshire (Candidates MUST live within a commutable distance to Botley)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:15pm

As the CNC Machinist / Miller / Setter Operator Programmer you will have an eye for detail with a background ideally in precision engineering and possess excellent problem solving skills.

DUTIES

Your duties as the CNC Machinist / Miller / Setter Operator Programmer include:

• Programme CNC milling machines using CAM software

• Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality components

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment

• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, callipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with CNC machinery or programming

• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards at all times

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have proven experience as CNC Setter / Operator

• Siemens and ProtoTRAK

• Must have skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools

• Must have ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

• You MUST live within a daily commutable distance to Botley, Hampshire
