CNC Lathe Setter/Operator/programmer is required for our client based in Dudley.

Our client manufactures and offers a complete and bespoke customer design process and pride themselves in their ability to work closely with global customers.

The role of CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator is an integral part of a small team of dedicated staff who are fully invested in the success of the company. The company has been open for business for over 60 years and still going strong.

The ideal candidate:
  • Someone who will adopt the same values and mind set that has made this company so successful to date.
  • Has experience of Fanuc controls, specifically teach mode.
  • Has experience of Heidenhain.
  • Has experience of conventional milling and turning.
  • Previous manual centre lathe experience essential.

Main purpose of the role:
  • Produces machined parts.
  • Programming, online, setting up a CNC machine.
  • Maintaining quality and safety standards in line with company standards.
  • Keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.


Key Experience:
  • Proven experience to read engineering drawings.
  • The ability to plan own work regarding programming (online) to maximise workflow.
  • To be able perform preventative and regular maintenance on machines, equipment and tools used in all processes.
  • Experience of following the machining process from the very beginning to the end to ensure quality of parts.


Rate: £12-17 per hour dependent upon experience

Hours: 37 Hours per week - Monday-Thursday 0800-16.30, Friday 0800-1300

32 Days holiday per year
