Join our dynamic and thriving manufacturing team in South Woodham Ferrers as a CNC Turner Programmer/Setter! Our client, a leading manufacturer of high precision mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies, is seeking a skilled individual to keep up with their recent growth and increase in orders.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Utilise various measuring equipment to ensure all parts meet customer standards.
  • Programme and set lathes efficiently while meeting customer requirements.
  • Review older production parts to optimise machining processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete work according to the production plan.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has at least 3 years of programming experience.
  • Is experienced in using multi-axis live tooling.
  • Can set various lathes.
  • Is capable of carrying out first off, self-inspection, and final inspection.
  • Has experience in machining a wide range of materials.
  • Works well in a team and communicates effectively.
  • Has extensive knowledge of Fanuc programming, including live tooling.

Desirable skills include:

  • Cam programming knowledge.
  • Experience in twin spindle machining.
  • Background in aerospace.
  • Apprentice trained.
