A fast-growing healthcare services company based in Portsmouth have partnered with the NET Recruit team in their search for a Clinical Governance Manager. With many of their services expanding, the business is keen to ensure they maintain the highest level of governance, particularly in relation to the many organisations that they partner with.

The role will be responsible ensuring the business has a robust governance and quality structure at all times and is compliant with legislation and industry standards. The position holder will be providing support on strategy and implementation across the business while also acting as a key point of contact for all things governance.

Roles & Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Working alongside Service Managers and Clinical Managers to ensure compliance with governance processes and industry standards
  • Conducting reporting for incidents and service reporting in order to monitor compliance success
  • Supporting investigations into serious incidents and potential litigation claims, ensuring these are dealt with appropriately and within policy
  • Promoting a positive safety culture within the organisation
  • Liaising with both internal and external parties in relation to governance, quality and safety
  • Acting as a key point of contact within the business, providing advice and support to people to resolve complex problems within the governance framework
  • Supporting Directors with reviewing strategic objectives and risk profile in relation to quality and safety, and ensuring the risk management strategy is clearly communicated to all employees and effectively put into operational practice
  • Ensuring the quality management system conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001 and provide reporting on the system to identify areas of improvement

What You Will Need To Apply:

Applicants will need to be degree level educated or equivalent and have experience working within clinical governance and compliance within a healthcare setting, and must be or have experience as a nurse, paramedic, pharmacist or other healthcare profession. Additionally, membership to the Chartered Governance Institute would be highly desirable. Experience handling serious incident investigations and report writing, alongside implementing governance procedures and policies is a requirement for this role.
