Role Overview:

Are you a seasoned clinician with a knack for decisive decision-making and leadership in high-pressure environments? Our client is seeking a Clinical Advisor to join their clinical team, where you will play a pivotal role in providing clinical leadership, support, and guidance for complex cases and attending MDT’s.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough screening of flight manifests, assessing individuals’ fitness to fly.

Provide on-call support for urgent out-of-hours inquiries, demonstrating quick thinking and effective problem-solving skills.

Offer clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the clinical team, contributing valuable insights for complex cases and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Collaborate closely with the Operations team, lending clinical expertise to management cases requiring review.

Foster cohesive teamwork within the wider clinical advisor team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Support the Service Delivery Manager and step in as a deputy in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and service excellence.

Qualifications/Experience & Requirements:

Proven experience in clinical leadership and decision-making, preferably in aviation or a related field.

Ability to assess individuals’ suitability for travel and make informed judgments under time constraints.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and support in complex clinical scenarios.

Flexibility and adaptability to respond to urgent situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Registered as a current HCPC paramedic or NMC Nurse

3 years plus post qualification as a paramedic or nurse

Skills:

To be able to make appropriate and informed decisions quickly whilst remaining calm and professional in an intense working environment.

Clear and concise communication skills, in particular when interacting with patients and third parties.

To identify and correct signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient.

Attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately.
