£22,760 - £23,543 pro rata, per annum (depending on experience)

Part time, maximum 34 hours per week. Sunday and Monday required, other days flexible

St Luke’s Hospice has an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our established Clinical Admin team which supports clinical colleagues across our 3 clinical services - the Community, IPU and UHP teams.

You will provide them with a timely and comprehensive administrative service that enables them to deliver excellent patient care. A significant part of this role is telephone based, so experience of and comfort dealing with potentially anxious patients, families and bereaved people is important.

What You’ll Be doing

  • Provide a full range of administrative duties, including copy & audio typing, minute/ note taking, filing, distributing post and administrative duties.

  • Receive incoming telephone calls, triaging to relevant teams

  • Co-ordinate arrangements for meetings, including distribution of associated paperwork, compiling agendas and taking, typing and circulating notes.

  • Provide specific patient information from relevant clinical computer databases on request.

  • Support the weekend working system ensuring correct information is available & communicated and telephone is transferred.

  • Liaise and work closely with all staff within St Luke’s Services, NHS staff and other Health Care Professionals

About you.

  • You will have administrative/secretarial experience and have worked in a patient/customer facing service environment.

  • You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and manage stressful situations in a compassionate and professional manner.?

  • You will have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills will be crucial to be successful in this role.?

  • You will be able to work independently, organising your own workload on a daily basis, you will also be comfortable working flexibly as part of the team to respond to changing priorities in a rapidly changing environment. ??
