A confident clerk of works is needed to support a consultancy that has projects across the whole of the UK. The clerk of works will be required to travel up and down the country as required to assist with projects within Healthcare, Hotels, Restaurants and more.

The Clerk of Works

The successful clerk of works must have a valid UK license and be comfortable with travel and overnight stays as and when required. Projects can range from being based in Glasgow to Surrey. Weekly travel to the Blackpool office would also be required.

Experience with a range of sectors is required, such as commercial, retail or residential.

Role and Responsibilities include:

  • Snagging
  • Site inspections
  • Reports
  • Overseeing changes
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation
  • NHBC compliance
  • Travelling to site
  • Hotels, Restaurants, Commercial, Care homes and more
  • Quality Assurance on site
  • ICWCI is not necessary but would be welcomed
  • Relevant experience
  • Relevant qualifications, e.g. construction manager, CIOB
