Cleaner

Reed are recruiting for a cleaner to join an organisation with multiple properties across Stevenage

• Clean all shared areas and communal facilities to agreed standards, including floors, furniture, equipment, laundry, office, guest bedrooms, and short stay accommodation.
• Maintain cleanliness of refuse rooms and recycling areas.
• Keep external entrances and flat block areas clear and presentable.
• Respond to reactive cleaning needs to maintain health and safety within communal areas, including handling hazardous materials with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Order cleaning supplies using the computerised system.
• Report any broken furniture, equipment, resident emergencies, or health and safety incidents immediately.
• Conduct health and safety checks, including legionella testing, and follow up on any required actions.
• Complete COSHH assessments and maintain up-to-date data sheets for cleaning products.
• Maintain the Independent Living Cleaner log, recording any resident or visitor concerns or enquiries.
• Work flexibly across various Independent Living/Flexi care schemes as required by the weekly rota.
• Collaborate with various teams within the council and external organisations to ensure a high standard of service.
